At Bukit Panjang Primary School (BPPS), students are encouraged to appreciate aesthetics in art and music using technology. With the help of KooBits, the school has successfully been able to achieve this aim.
What KooBits enables students to do is put together several multimedia tools to create their very own digital e-book. Students find this particularly useful as they are able to explore many mediums to present their work. They are also able to display their individual style and pushed to think from different angles. Teachers also recommend this e-book software as a teaching tool to give a more broad based perspective on each subject. They also noticed a hike in students’ interest when they taught their lessons using this media.
Whilst other softwares might be focused on certain subjects, KooBits can be used on all subjects in school. For example, students using this software can come up with scrapbooks and collages. Therefore, students can use this software to come up with scrapbooks after an educational trip. The myriad of resources available in the programme is particularly useful for students to come up with creative content.
The multi uses of KooBits has pushed Bukit Panjang Primary School to explore even more uses for this software. The school hopes to anchor a greater presence of this programme in their curriculum.
